Restored mid-century modern furniture and vintage stereo consoles.

Mid-century furniture made decades ago that has stood the test of time. We restore each piece and bring it to the Atomic Furnishing & Design showroom, ready to live on in another home. Every vintage console is a one-of-a-kind piece with the warm sound only vintage speakers can make.

More than consoles

Mid-century furniture for every room

Stereo consoles are what we're known for, but they're only part of what comes through our hands. We also sell mid-century modern furniture for the rest of the house: credenzas and dressers, coffee and side tables, and chairs and seating. Every piece is vintage, cleaned up and restored where it needs it. What's on the floor changes week to week, so ask us what's in.

The art on our walls

Much of the art you'll see on our walls is by Megan Walsh, and it's a perfect complement to mid-century modern furniture.

Our signature · One of a kind

Custom pieces with a sound only vintage speakers make.

No two of our stereo consoles are alike. Each one is a custom piece of furniture with its own story, its own look, and the warm sound you only get from vintage speakers.

Every console is cared for by someone with years in audio engineering. Come hear one for yourself.

Coming soonWe're recording our consoles playing so you can hear them before you visit.

The sound of vintage

Our stereo consoles are decades old, and they sound like it. That's their charm. You'll hear a warm, room-filling sound, with a little crackle and some dust in the mix. It isn't a perfectly clear sound, and that's what makes it vintage.

Like any vintage audio, they like regular care. The controls and switches benefit from periodic cleaning, and the turntable's stylus and your records should be kept clean too. The stylus wears over time and will eventually need replacing. A little crackle when you turn a knob, along with the surface noise that comes with vinyl, is normal and to be expected. Ask us if you have questions.

Before you buy

Policies

All sales are final

We don't offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit, and every piece is sold as is. Most of what we sell is 50, 60, or 70 years old and has age-appropriate wear. Please zoom in on the photos before you buy. If you'd like more photos, a close-up of a particular spot, or have any question at all, email us at [email protected] before purchasing.

Pickup

Pick up during store hours. If you're picking up yourself, bring enough help to load the piece into your vehicle, because our staff can't assist with loading. Bring your ID, blankets, plastic wrap, straps, and anything else you'll need to get it home safely. If someone else is picking up for you, let us know in advance so we know you've given permission.

Delivery

Some items may qualify for curbside delivery. You'll need to have help available to get the piece inside your home, and we aren't responsible for damage once the item has been delivered.

You can also hire a delivery company, and Atomic can suggest local ones. For out-of-state customers, we use a white glove shipping service and can get you a quote. Using a company we recommend doesn't waive storage fees or make us responsible for damage in transit.

Storage

Pieces held at the store are subject to Atomic's storage terms. See storage terms ↗
